Job Description

Systems CoordinatorFull timeDuties:

  1. Lead, manage and coordinate senior user groups and user relationships to support the delivery of ICT solutions that meet key departmental business drivers and priorities
  2. To utilise functional/technical expertise deliver operational business reporting across departmental systems. Including design, creation, maintenance and documentation of new and amended reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and BusinessObjects technologies.
  3. Monitor, maintain and manage departmental information systems in steady-state operation for local practitioners, stakeholders and service areas.
  4. Provide the day to day account management across departmental information systems, including managing relationships and complaints and evaluating and reporting on perceived service performance
  5. Resolve and troubleshoot solution defects, including interface support and functional support within the assigned functional areas as necessary, undertaking analysis to solve complex problems and implement solutions.
  6. Maintain and develop knowledge of departmental information systems and their deployment within the organisation.
  7. Liaison with the business and external partners to achieve efficient and effective use of departmental information systems.
  8. Ensure corporate standards are met in terms of system specifications, design, common interface, documentation and coding.
  9. Define, document and perform configuration changes and identify potential programming modifications necessary to meet the business requirements
  10. Maintain professional competence and knowledge of developments in their area of expertise and within the Council
  11. To ensure that correct operational processes within departmental systems are being followed and to alert the appropriate manager to ensure compliance
Requirements:
  1. Must be educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  2. Evidence of continuous professional development
  3. Knowledge and understanding of the main issues affecting the service area
  4. Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel
  5. A minimum of three years’ experience in a system support, maintenance and implementation role
  6. Hands on experience with systems security administration and direct end user support.
  7. Handling complex spreadsheets as well as manipulating and interpreting data.
  8. Extensive experience of testing and implementing upgrades and changes to systems.
  9. Substantial experience of systems security, including user role build, role assignment, tracing, trouble shooting and technical support.
  10. Experience of computer processing, manipulation and output of data.
