Specification Marketing Manager - British Gypsum - East LeakeBritish Gypsum are looking to appoint a skilled Specification Marketing Manager to work in their vibrant Marketing department. As part of a larger marketing function this role will take sole responsibility for managing allmarketing activity aimed at our specifier customers so we can provide effective support and communications.The role will be working for British Gypsum in East Leake,Loughborough. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and they have over 100 years experience in plaster, plasterboard and ceiling solutions, creating innovative products which deliver meaningful customer benefits.British Gypsum are part of Saint-Gobain - Winners of TOP EMPLOYER UK AND GLOBAL six years running! (2016-2021)What will I be doing in the roleThe purpose of the Specification Marketing Manager is to engage with our specifier customers to understand their businesses, their individual requirements and what theyre calling for in terms of support from British Gypsum. Understands how to use this knowledgeto work with the wider marketing team to design creative marketing approaches and campaigns that means British Gypsum is more often the brand of choice for specifier customers, and value added solutions from British Gypsum are trialled and preferred.

  • Designing, planning and implementing marketing campaigns across different platforms and reporting on the success of these.
  • Responsible for customer insights and customer personas, engaging directly with our specifier customers; really understanding and getting under the skin of our different customer types.
  • Manage the main engagement platforms chosen to concentrate on to build engagement with each specifier customer type (e.g. Social Media groups).
  • Working closely with colleagues within the Product Marketing and Sales teams, ensuring our customer have the technical information and support they require.
  • Responsible for product portfolio promotional collateral production to ensure that information contained is accurate and up to date.

  • An expert in marketing campaigns, can translate data and findings into strategic actionable activities
  • Good working knowledge of the construction sector, how to market in the construction industry, having an awareness of the regulations & standards applicable to construction products and an understanding of the Specification sales process
  • Is an excellent communicator and can tailor messages to different audiences
  • Is an experienced marketer who is curious, inquisitive and takes ownership for their deliverables
  • A Marketing or Business-related degree is essential
  • Level 6 CIM qualification
  • A hands-on individual with a positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
