Job Description

MYTILINEOS, a leading industrial company with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, EPC, Power & Gas and International Renewables & Storage Development is currently seeking to hire a Senior Authorised Person (HV) - Battery Storage (BESS) & Solar Projects (PV) for the International Renewables and Storage Development Business Unit.(Reference Code: SAP 0320)Main Responsibilities:

  • Plans, oversees and carries out non-scheduled HV Corrective Maintenance activities and keeps records of both scheduled and non-scheduled HV activities
  • Manages the delivery of maintenance activities
  • Keeps HV equipment maintenance logs and assists in developing new HV maintenance procedures where necessary
  • Maintains the Safe Systems of work and issues safety documents in accordance with specific Authorisation levels and client DSR’s
  • Liaises with internal businesses to ensure the role of all AP is undertaken consistently and ensures compliance of the HV activities with local rules and regulations
  • Identifies resources to perform HV maintenance activities if necessary (specialized companies, supplier, etc.) and liaises with Project Managers on resource needs for network shutdown projects
  • Pre-visits switching locations prior to switching schedule submission and submits switching schedules in accordance with pre-agreed project programs
  • Attends emergency fault situations, actively contributes to the Health & Safety initiatives and conducts and reviews point of work risk assessments on operational sites
  • Manages succession training of prospective AP’s, including creating training and development plans and continuous mentoringRequirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience as a SAP on both OH and UG networks, including switchgear installations
  • Proven track record of 3+ years in Supervising Engineers of operational solar or other industry projects
  • Experience in Battery Storage Projects is highly appreciated and SAP Authorization up to 132kV is desirable
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Working knowledge of SMSTS, IOSH or other equivalent H&S certificate (NEBOSH) is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
