Job Description

Job Title: Sales ManagerLocation: Colwick, NottinghamSalary: £24,000 - 28,000 per year.Job type: Full-time, Permanent.Halsbury Travel is one of the leading school tour operators in the UK. Our mission is to make organising school trips easier, so that more young people can benefit from these unforgettable, inspiring educational experiences. We were recently acquired byLiteracy Capital Plc who are experts at investing in and growing great UK SME businesses - their investment is a testament to the reputation Halsbury has built in the sector.The Role:You will be the first point of contact for teachers and group leaders looking to plan a trip, listening to their requirements and creating inspirational tours and itineraries tailored to their educational objectives and budget, we require 4 sales consultantsin the following areas;

  • Ski
  • Language
  • Education
  • Sport
Responsibilities:
  • Follow up on sales leads
  • Seek out new sales leads
  • Develop relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Set up costings for tours
  • Create bespoke quotes tailored to the customers budget and requirements
  • Follow up quotations sent and close sales
  • The role will be predominantly telephone and email based; however, the successful candidate must be confident and able to attend face-to-face meetings with schools, groups and clients when required
  • From time-to-time you will be required to travel to visit suppliers and hoteliers overseas giving you first-hand knowledge of the locations and visits we offer
  • Any other tasks as may reasonably be assigned
ExperienceExperience is not needed as we can provide full training however, sales experience within the group tours market would be an a great advantage.Candidate Requirements:
  • You must be commercially astute and have excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Target driven
  • Additional languages spoken would be a bonus
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Team player
  • Proficient in the world of MS Office
  • A passion for travel
