Job Description

Michael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a Market leading consumer product company who are looking for a Product Test Manager for their site based in Nottinghamshire.The Product Test Manager will run their own department and be essential on supporting the wider supply chain on quality and product choicesClient DetailsMichael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a Market leading consumer product company who are looking for a Product Test Manager for their site based in Nottinghamshire.This well established business has a strong brand in market and has grown its market share through high quality products. Whilst moving with their customers needs it has keep its values strong throughout the organisation, creating a very open cultureDescriptionThe Product Test Manager will be responsilble for all product testing across the wide product range and be expected to comprehensively review the department with the directors. The wide range of responsilbilites also include:

  • Oversea all products are made to standards and hit all quality and regulaiton criterias including CE, ISO, BS and EN etc
  • Check and certify documentation of product in line with UK and EU directives
  • Build test reports on product ranges to keep them safe to for consumer use
  • Decide on build quality and component quality, producing detailed reports
  • Manager a small team of Test Engineers, with the expectation to grow the department
  • Priotise product testing flow and set clear SOPs to deliever to KPIs for the department
  • Liase with department across the business to deliever exceptionalinternal and external service
    • Profile
  • HND/HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering is a minimum expectation
  • Knowledge of electromechanical tools and/or machinery
  • It is advantageous to have experience of performance testing on electrical and mechanical products.
  • knowledge of compliance to the Machinery, EMC and Low Voltage Directives, RoHS, PAHs and REACH would be a valuable skills for this role
  • A working knowledge of product standards and legislation including design and safety measures would support a strong application
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office systems, with good communication and report writing skills
  • Strong work ethic & fully committed to developing the output of the Test Department
