Paediatric Staff Nurse| Children and young people services | Band 5 Depending On Experience |, Nottingham |Full time | Monday - Friday with Ad-Hoc Weekends & occasional night shift The Children and Young Peoples services are growing at Spire Nottingham,offering in-patient and outpatient services with a developing HDU service. You will provide pre and post-operative care to children and young people, assisting in their recovery and preparing them for discharge - this will include wound care, assisting withpersonal care and providing emotional support at what can be a stressful time. You will liaise with their parents, guardians and consultants giving advice and making recommendations to improve the patients wellbeing, whilst also being adept at identifyinga deteriorating patient and making on the spot, informed decisions. You will also be working autonomously across a variety of outpatient settings, liaising closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide family centred care to children andyoung people. Our state of the art, purpose built hospital located in Tollerton, has 42 private en-suite rooms across an adult and paediatric ward. 4 theatres including a hybrid theatre, a 5 bed Critical CareUnit, a minor ops suite in Outpatients, 11 day care beds, endoscopy suite, on-site MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound and mammography, physiotherapy, pharmacy and 300 free car parking spaces. Duties and responsibilities Assess children and young peoples health andwell-being across a complex and changing caseload. Assist in the delivery of care to meet the child and families health and wellbeing needs Delivering excellent post-surgical care to paediatric patients Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentiousinformation. Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others. Promotes best practice in health and safety and security. Assist in maintaining and developing an ever-expanding Paediatric service. Promote and be advocate for children and young peoples equality,diversity and rights. Ensure all child and young peoples safeguarding needs are assessed and acted on as per local and LSCB policies Providing RCN support during paediatric clinics, assisting with minor operations and Phlebotomy. Working as part of a smallteam Liaise with members of the Multi-disciplinary team to deliver Individualised care. Who were looking for Be NMC registered Nurse with a Childrens qualification - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions Minimum of 2 years within a paediatricdepartment.
