Job Description

The Company:

The Role
  • Attend breakdowns as requested, assess cause, strip down and determine best method of repair. Install replacement components or carry out repairs using lathes, cutting/grinding machinery, welding equipment etc;
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance checks to a pre-determined schedule. Assess requirements for repair/replacement and in conjunction with management, determine the best time for repairs to be carried out.
  • Attend to equipment faults in response to requests from management as a result of machinery malfunctioning (e.g. not producing to dimensions) and carry out adjustments or repairs as necessary;
  • Utilise hydraulic & pneumatic drawings for fault finding purposes.

The Ideal Person:
  • You must have previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Firm understanding of production machinery repairs and installations.
  • The successful candidate should be self-motivated, responsible and have excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Flexibility and initiative are essential for this demanding and rewarding position.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Based in or near the East Midlands as it is an office based role and you will be required in the office/factory each working day.
