Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer My client is a designer and manufacturer of equestrian transportation solutions and is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. The continued success of the business has resulted in an enviable order book and due to growth, an exciting opportunityhas arisen for this position.The role objectives will be:

    • To create designs from initial concept stage through to finalised production
Generating mechanical parts, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings
  • Modifying existing product designs
Responsibilities will include:Creating 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidworksCreating and maintaining BOM structuresReviewing engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actionsInteraction with other team members and customers to interpret their needs and requirementsProvide engineering support for production activities as and when required.Qualifications and experience will include:Minimum HNC in a related engineering discipline and/or significant experience in a design engineering roleTime management and good organisation skillsProficient in the use of SolidworksProficient in Microsoft OfficeExperience of NPI processes from design to production releaseExperience of DFMEA an advantageExperience in coach-building or vehicle body-building industries an advantageAbility to work with multiple discipline projectsExperience of MRP systems an advantageYour CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
