Job Description

Agile IT Delivery Manager - Notts/Hybrid- £600/day (outside IR35)Im working with a huge retail organisation who are looking to bolster their current team with an experienced Contract IT Delivery Manager and help them take their next step on their IT transformation journey.This role would suit someone from a Software Development background, specifically working in a delivery environment where there are multiple competing priorities. Any experience in eCommerce, retail, or warehousing and logistics would be an added bonus!Key responsibilities:

  • Leading operations that support the organisations short and long-term goals and strategies
  • Driving scrum method adoption to underpin the delivery of successful product development
  • Identifying and removing impediments or conflicts that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to drive development and completion of projects, aligning with business strategy, Group policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members on agile standards and best practices; ensuring consistent best practices across the work streams
Essential Skills:
  • Experience of working in a Software Development environment in a medium to large company
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of iterative development
  • Understanding SDLC processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them, leveraging other techniques to provide value to a team/business
  • Understands the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
  • Backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • Familiar with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and development and testing practices
  • Proven Scrum Master/PM
