Connections Project Manager - Remote / Site based - £45,000With the continued growth of renewables were moving ever closer to a fully green grid. With increasing renewables comes and increasingly distributed energy supply and so connections providers are more important than ever.The evolution of your career is just as important as the evolution of the grid. Established players have a competitive advantage over newcomers to the field, but often progression opportunities suffer as a result. Theres a different sweet spot for everybody - and for ambitious people who want to grow outside of their comfort zone, but who dont want to be frustrated by lack of projects, Id say a business with 20 people with plans to grow to 50 is the right sort of balance.This role will see you quickly establishing yourself as a key member of the construction projects team. Youll be working fully-remotely, but quickly integrated into the multi-cultural and diverse team through regular interaction with mentors and leaders.Ideally youll already have experience with HV connections, but therell be lots of support and training involved either way. Experience liaising with DNOs is essential though; youll understand why if youve ever had to deal with them! Being construction-stage focused, youll need to be on site about twice a week. As such, theyre happy for you to based remotely and only come into the office once or twice a month. This does mean that youll need existing site experience though.Theyve got a bright future lined up for you, promotion to Senior Project Manager and direct reports is only the start.
