Job Description

Eden Brown Synergy is currently looking to speak to Cognitive Behavioural Therapists in relation to a post with Nottingham NHS.The roleThe post holder will work with patients who have a range of anxiety and depression related problems using IAPT compliant interventions, assessing, formulating, implementing and evaluating therapy programs.Lets Talk Wellbeing is Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trusts Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) Service. Providing psychological assessment and treatment for mild to moderate mental health problems across Nottinghamshire.The underpinning principle of this service is to ensure that the local population can access appropriate, NICE approved talking therapies quickly and easily.The service is delivered by a range of therapists, including PWPs, CBT, IPT & Counsellors.Main duties The post holder will play a key therapeutic role as part of an Any Qualified provider (Payments by Results) service working at Step 3. They will be expected to meet set activity and performance targets. These will be monitored through Line Management and Clinical Case management with a Clinical lead. They will provide a liaison between GPs and the wider Primary Care team.The service operates flexibly to facilitate a client patient centred approach to accessing the service. The service is provided between 08.00am-7.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am-5.00pm Friday, with the possibility of working some Saturday mornings. You will be required to be flexible and contribute to the rota to work within these hours.Job responsibilities

  • To participate fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to provide high intensity interventions.
  • Assess clients for suitability for CBT.
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programs for clients.
  • To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of clients on your caseload. Educate and involve family members and others as necessary, conveying CBT and other psychological formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate.
  • Complete all requirements relating to data collection promptly utilising the Service Patient information system.
  • Keep prompt, accurate and coherent contemporaneous records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.
  • Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step up and step down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.
  • Assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process.
  • Carry out clinical audits of the service performance, including service user surveys and evaluations, and help to collate and disseminate the results for feedback.
  • Achieve agreed performance targets
  • Cover Duty as part of role, dealing with urgent risk enquiries that come into the service.
  • Lets Talk Wellbeing offers opportunities to work full time or part time and as a result of Covid 19 home working will be expected initially. In the future a combination of home working and travelling between locations in Nottingham will be likely.
