Catering Assistant | Catering Department, Customer Service | Tollerton, Nottingham | Full Time, Permanent Spire Nottingham Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Assistant to join their established team. Duties and responsibilities Responsible for taking meal orders from patients and visitorson a daily basis. You will be observing dietary requirements as identified on nurses list and ensure patients menu choice is compatible. Responsible for the service (including clearing and washing) of food and beverages to patients, visitors and staff, promptcollection and presentation of patients trays. Responsible for offering and serving refreshments before and after a meal and as required at patients or visitors requests. Ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the pantry, coffee shop,brew room, restaurant, water and coffee stations in compliance with hygiene training. Cleaning jobs are completed and signed for in accordance with cleaning schedules / procedures. To receive and process customer payments and ensure that all revenue is reportedand banked as per company policy. To maintain control of stock through stock rotation, date checking, ensuring packaging is intact. To report to your immediate line Manager any information relating to customer/client complaints, compliments or any incidentor accident, fir, loss, theft or damage. To carry out any reasonable request, relating to the efficient operation of the catering department. .Who were looking for Whilst no formal qualifications are required you must be able to communicate with other membersof staff and patients clearly and your personal appearance must be of a high standard, expected in a professional healthcare environment. Driving License Essential: Due to the working patterns and where the hospital is situated, it is crucial that you haveyour own form of transport as opposed to relying on public transport/others to take you. Driving license and own car would be ideal. Experience of working in a similar role, in a customer facing environment. Ability to work shifts, mornings, evenings and weekends.On a fair rota system.
