Job Description

Job Title: Year 4 Teaching AssistantLocation: Nottingham City Are you passionate about education and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young learners We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a City Academy. This is a full-time role for 1 year, and the successfulcandidate will work closely with the Year 4 class teacher to provide essential support and guidance to our students.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Year 4 class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum objectives.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
  • Support individual students or small groups during class activities, providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Contribute to the development of students social and emotional skills.
  • Supervise students during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children of a similar age group is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient and nurturing approach, with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of students.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A clear background check and any other necessary security clearances required for working with children.
