Job Description

Job Title: 1:1 Behaviour Mentor - Year 1Location: NG6Position Type: Full-TimeWe are recruiting on behalf of a Primary Academy that is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to provide support for a Year 1 student with specific behavioural needs. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in creating a positiveand inclusive learning environment for the student while working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one mentoring and support for a Year 1 student with behavioural challenges.
  • Implement and monitor individualised behaviour plans in collaboration with the class teacher.
  • Foster positive relationships with the student to promote social and emotional development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to address behavioural concerns.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to behaviour management.
  • Monitor and record the students progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce appropriate social skills.
  • Act as a positive role model for the student.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Year 1 curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and clearances as required by the school.
Daily pay rate from £85-£100 per day depending on experienceBenefits:

  • Hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
