Job Description

Having recently secured a large multi-year contract we are currently recruiting a Wood Machinist in Nottingham. Our client is looking for Machinist with at least [5] years Joinery experience. The ideal candidates will be hardworking, have great attentionto detail and have good previous experience in the field.Wood Machinist Duties

  • To be able to produce high quality shopfitting joinery products accurately to specification.
  • Be able to read and understand CAD drawings and cutting lists.
  • Be able to use traditional and modern wood working machines such a Spindle, Sander, planer, Crosscut, Beam Saw is essential.
  • Being able to operate an edgebander machine would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Being able to operate a CNC would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Be responsible for setting and operating machines to produce product with consistent results that is within specification and to acceptable levels of quality.
Wood Machinist Requirements
  • Full time - Permanent position
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying Joinery experience
  • Be competent and accurate using wood working machines.
  • Be skilled in working with MDF, MFC, hard and softwood timbers.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
  • Using machines would be advantageous, but not essential.
