We are looking for a Weekend Housing Duty Shift Manager to support the running of our Shakespeare Street accommodation and our transitional properties across Nottingham at the weekends.Managing a team of Housing Duty Workers, you will ensure the smooth running of each shift; this includes ensuring our residents are fully supported and assistance provided where required, our properties are safe and secure, and that your team of HousingDuty Workers are equally supported and organised.YMCA Robin Hood Groups Supported Housing team in Nottingham provides 24-hour support for homeless young people and adults based from our 98 bed Shakespeare Street Hostel and through our network of over 260 beds in transitional homes across the city.Our Housing Duty team are the heart and soul of our housing service; being the first people most of our residents come into contact with, you will be there to support them with anything they need but also oversee the smooth running of the building in general.Working on Saturday and Sunday each weekend, our Housing Duty teams are one of the busiest and cover the largest variety of roles in our service; you will cover everything from support work, incidents, administration, security, fire safety, cleaning support,and anything else that might crop up while you are on shift.This is the perfect role for anyone who enjoys variety, loves being busy and thrives off never being able to predict exactly what will happen that day!Being the Manager on duty, your role will be primarily to ensure everything is covered each shift!You will support our Housing Duty Worker who support residents in the following ways:· Providing advice and assistance· Providing keys/replacements where needed.· Collecting rent payments and dealing with queries or charges relating to rent payments· Taking the time to ensure they understand their tenant obligations and their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the License Agreement· Taking payments· Providing first aid· Responding to fire alarms· Being a first point of call when dealing with incidents, including emergencies, including liaising with the police and other agencies to prevent damage/harm to our residents and buildings.· Crisis Management and incident reporting.· If needed, undertake facilities/domestic duties to maintain the upkeep of our buildingYou will be the next point of escalation for any issues, events or complaints; you must also be willing to step in an support your team with any of the above duties - we are a true teams all all muck in to help and support one another.You will work Saturday and Sunday each week, 23 hours per week. We work on a 2 week rolling rota so you would have advance warning of your shift patterns. The rota pattern is:11am - 11pm11pm - 11amYou will work one weekend of days and one weekend of nights.We can offer you flexibility to find a working pattern that works for you around these shifts - we could consider a fixed rota pattern or even something crossing the shifts! Regardless of your background, you will be confident to deal with difficult situations and handle conflict appropriately.You won’t shy away from those difficult situation and be the calm presence in any crisis.
