Job Description

Role:Warehouse Manager Salary:30,000-40,000paLocation: NottinghamshireAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Manager to work in a fast paced environment for a well-established company based in Nottinghamshire.Day to day duties may include:

  • Dealing with any employee issues such as pay, overtime, absences, holidays, training etc.
  • Ensuring accuracy of stock, responsible for any anomalies that may exist between actual stock and computer records
  • Control of line loading activities in main production areas
  • Planning workloads for staff
  • Creating and developing processes and checklists to improve efficiencies
  • Setting and monitoring picking targets
  • Ensuring forklifts / forktrucks are maintained in good working condition, are serviced and that operators are trained and hold current licences prior to use
  • Ensure all scrap metal is stored correctly, weighed / counted on a regular basis and are sold at regular intervals
  • Liaising with HR in relation to quantity of staff required and type of individual needed
  • Ensuring stock audits are carried out and documented
  • Overall responsibility for health & safety and tidiness of the warehouse yard
  • Provide leadership, direction, encouragement and motivation to your team at all times
    • The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience
  • Experience of working in a high volume, fast paced warehouse environment
  • The ability to work in multi-functional areas and be adaptable to any task
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver to the highest standards on strict client SLAs is essential
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience within a warehouse environment is essential
  • Able to demonstrate clear leadership qualities as developing, coaching and mentoring individuals and teams is a pre-requisite for the role
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to allocate and coordinate huge amounts of stock to several storage facilities
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ensuring 5S methodology is followed and in line with standard guidelines
