Job Description

My client is a leading electronics/technology retailer who are based in Nottingham. Due to sustained growth over the last few years they are looking to add a Warehouse Operative to their team.The Role:

  • Picking stock for customer orders. Notifying management of any stock discrepancies whilst handling stock in a professional manner.
  • Packing and dispatching customer orders. Ensuring that orders are labelled, packed and shipped accurately to the very high standards that our customers demand.
  • Assisting the sales team with quotations for shipping goods on a same day basis as well as international shipments.
  • Assisting with special projects such as system configuration and stock batching projects as required.
  • Maintaining high standards of general housekeeping in alignment with health and safety policies.
  • Ensure adherence to company security procedures at all times.
  • Adherence to warehouse KPIs with regards to goods booking-in time frames, picking accuracy and dispatch deadlines
  • Goods in queries handled in accordance with company KPIs.
  • Deliveries shipped on time in a professional manner at all times.
  • Shipping error elimination.
    • The Ideal Candidate:
  • Good IT skills are preferable
  • One years experience in a warehouse environment is preferable.
  • Use of computerized inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety in the workplace legislation including use of PPE and manual handling.
  • Hard working, structured and organized with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Hands on approach, willing to ensure that all tasks asked of them are handled with care and skill.
  • Flexible approach to work, willing to move between tasks quickly and effectively as required by the wider business.
  • Professional and courteous at all times.
    • Details:
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts between 10am - 6pm
  • £18,000 (rising to £19,000 after probation)
