Job Description

Office based, 9 - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, salaries up to £35,000 depending on experience. Exception opportunity with training and career progression for a great team within a rapidly growing cloud telephony solutions provider.The CompanyOur Client is at an exciting stage in their evolution. They are one of the fastest growing businesses in their space, specialising in Unified Communications and business voice, exclusively developing and delivering cloud based PBX solutions and billing. They have developed an incredible platform that gives partners the ability to provide any size of business with a class leasing cloud hosted VOIP telephone system that they can manage themselves.With over 3000 customers worldwide, things have really taken off and they now require a VoIP NetworkSupport Engineering to learn the systems and deliver exceptional levels of technical support and customer service.The roleWorking in Nottingham, you will join an established team of technical support engineers and support customers in the UK and further afield. It’s fast paced, there is a lot to learn and the role will enable you to progress upwards through the ranks, offering a long term role with progression. The position will involve the following:

  • Fault identification diagnosis and resolution
  • Network testing
  • Fault escalation to Development and Technical Teams
  • Customer engagement, ensuring the customer understand the state of play
  • Customer training on new systems
  • System implementation and configuration
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate and keen to learn with first class communication skills and a customer focused attitude. We are looking for problem solvers with curious minds and people that don’t like to be beaten by technology. Some experience of some the following would be beneficial.
  • Good understanding of Computer Networks, TCP/IP TCP/UDP, Basic routing, SIP, RTP Protocol.
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows-based systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting IP based connectivity issues
  • Familiarity with tools for packet analysis, tracing etc)
  • SSH, VPN, ADSL understanding
  • Knowledge of Asterisk and experience with SIP protocol is a big advantage but not essential.
