Job Description

Vehicle TechnicianNottingham£25,000-£35,000 per yearPermanentWorking days are Monday- Friday 8:00-5:30pm and working 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:30am-1:00pm. Flexibility can be offered to the right candidate.We have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join Nottingham’s largest Mercedes- Benz specialist offering an all-round service to their book of clients. This role would suit a qualified Maintenance Technician who has several years post-qualification experience, or someone who has been working in this industry for several years and is now looking for the next step in their career. The successful candidate will take a positive and proactive approach towards their work and must be enthusiastic and willing to further their existing skills.The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of maintenance & repairs covering general servicing, light diagnostics, and mechanical repairs such as engine & suspension work. The ability to work to agreed time scales, complete relevant paperwork, maintain a clean & tidy working area all whilst ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained, is essential.Throughout the week the successful candidate will work both independently on their own allocated jobs whilst receiving the opportunity to assist and work with a Master Technician to further their knowledge and gain essential skills.Factory training, the latest Xentry diagnostics and a good working environment are just a few of the benefits on offer.This position also comes with a full uniform and PPE, the only thing you will need to provide is your own hand tools. Product specific training will be provided if required.Key Duties

  • Vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Testing, diagnosing, and resolving faults, using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Dealing with the repair and maintenance of parts such as, water pumps, timing chains and suspension
  • Supporting other Technicians as part of a team
  • What we are looking for.
  • Apprenticeship completed and post experience.
  • A candidate who has a genuine interest in the motor-trade
  • Experience of working with modern high-end vehicles.
  • It is desirable that you have worked with Mercedes-Benz or a prestige manufacturer.
  • It is desirable you have diagnostic experience and an MOT Licence.
