We learn, grow and win together.Are you ready to help change the world!Job Purpose:As User Interface (UI) Engineer, you will work within our cross-functional Agile development team to translate UX designs into HTML and CSS. This is primarily a UI Engineering / Front End Development role with strong HTML5, CSS and JavaScript skills beingkey. Please note this is not Angular/react development role.User Interface (UI) Engineer can be primarily remote, meaning we are happy to consider candidates from anywhere within the UK. Please note that you will be required to travel to our Nottingham offices approximately twice a month.The User Interface (UI) Engineer will work with our cross-functional Agile development team consisting of software engineers, testers, architects and product owners to deliver robust UI solutions:The role include:

  • Translating UX designs into HTML and CSS
  • Maintain and publish our UI library and associated documentation
  • Work with multiple teams to ensure consistency of UI across the product suite
  • Integrate 3rd party component libraries into the UI library
  • Approaching work with a mindset that embraces Lean UI/UX principles
  • Follow and encourage strong UI engineering practices such as using CSS methodologies, CSS pre and post processors, markup and mobile first.
  • Be prepared to continuously improve as an individual and positively contribute to the continuous improvement of your team
  • Help to troubleshoot UI issues in both development and production systems
  • Ensure project deliverables achieve the industry regulatory and company standards.
The User Interface (UI) Engineer will have:
  • HTML5
  • CSS and CSS Pre and post processors such as SASS and PostCSS
  • Bootstrap
  • JavaScript
  • Blazer framework experience a plus
  • Developing user interfaces in a modern programming technology Web Assembly
  • Building accessible sites that comply with WCAG A, AA, or AAA standards
  • Building web UI applications
  • Experience of working with software development teams, preferably cross-functional and agile teams
