The centre aims to support some of the most vulnerable students in the Academy with a focus on academia and therapeutic support. The centre will usecurrent research in Trauma Informed and Relational Practice’ to help to re-focus, motivate, and ultimately reintegrate students back into mainstream lessons.We are seeking to appoint a Therapeutic Support Officer to work under the guidance and direction of the Therapeutic Reintegration Manager to support continued improvements in behaviour across the Academy through the provision of academic, behavioural, andtherapeutic support in the Academy’s Reintegration Centre and across the wider Academy. The post holders will support improvements in attendance and engagement and the reduction of suspensions and permanent exclusions of key vulnerable students. They willassist students with behavioural needs to modify their behaviour to re-integrate into mainstream classrooms without adversely affecting the behaviour and progress of other students.The successful candidates will be required to develop their own practice using behavioural and therapeutic research and will be expected to demonstrate that they are passionate about making a difference to the lives of the students in the Academy. They willhave experience of working in a student facing role, ideally within the education sector. They will work well under pressure with an ability to diffuse potentially contentious situations and to form positive and trusting relationships with students in orderto raise student achievement.As an employee of the Creative Education Trust, you will benefit from a highly competitive career package which includes:
