An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographer to join our busy but friendly radiotherapy team. This post will cover all aspects of the radiotherapy treatment floor. You will be need to be a HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer with excellent communication skills and also equipped with the clinical knowledge of current developments.In order to cover the service needs, the post-holder will need to be able to work flexible shifts over the working week with normal hours between 07.30 and 20.00.Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is a major teaching Hospital in the East Midlands. The Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre has significantly expanded and partially relocated into a new purpose built facility. This has seen the introduction of additional capacity with cutting edge treatment delivery and pre-treatment technology including a Tomotherapy unit, Elekta Agility and Synergy Linacs with XVi and VMAT and Toshiba Aquilion LB CT 4D scanners. The brachytherapy service features the Elekta Microselectron HDR system and the Papillon contact therapy system.The Radiotherapy Department serves a population of 1.1 million and provides complex treatments for the local population and the wider East Midlands including: paediatric radiotherapy, SABR, SRS, image guided IMRT, CHART and total body electron and photon treatments. The department has a major commitment to evidence based practice and participates in multi-centre clinical research trials.
