As part of the planned development of our services we need to increase the number of NMC/HCPC registered band 5 Theatre practitioners to work in our dedicated Trauma & Orthopedic Theatres at QMC Hospital, Nottingham.We are looking for motivated, adaptable individuals who take pride in their role and want to develop their professional skills in a busy surgical environment where no two days are the same. You must be a qualified nurse with current NMC registration or a qualified ODP with current HCPC registration.Please note this is an INTERNAL VACANCY ONLY therefore only current employees of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust will be considered for the post.The successful applicant will already be an existing employee of NUH NHS Trust and will will be computer literate and possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide variety of professionals from different backgrounds. You must also be able to work on your own initiative, have a flexible attitude and work well as a member of the multidisciplinary team.Theatre experience is desirable but not essential. We are happy to accept newly qualified members of staff, given that a specialist induction and supernumerary period to learn from our supportive team will be provided. Student nurses / ODP’s coming up to graduation would also be most welcome to apply.Our shifts are worked flexibly over a four week rota, primarily on 11.5 hour shifts.
