Job Description

Due to continuing growth, our client is keen to appoint a Test Engineer who will functionally test communication systems and PCB assemblies for Oil, Gas, Nuclear, and Renewables projects.

  • Bulwell, Nottingham
  • Full time, permanent
  • Hours: Mon - Thurs, 8.00am - 4.30pm & Fri 8.00am - 1.00pm
  • £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Key tasks:
  • Functional testing and troubleshooting of PCBAs
  • Electrical safety testing of built systems
  • Functional system testing
  • Working with Development team for testing of new and existing designs.
  • Taking responsibility of scheduled test and completion dates
  • Completion of Project serial logs and config data books
  • Potential option of overseas or UK travel to work on the Company’s or Customer’s systems on site
  • Remote support engineers/customers who are on site
  • Assist with goods inwards inspection
  • Review, inspect and repair RMAs and faulty products. Providing detailed reports where necessary
  • Help development with test and verification of new designs
  • To liaise with all internal departments to ensure timely completion of assigned test activities
Key skills:
  • Must be diligent with good attention to detail.
  • Must be tidy, consistent and methodical when conducting any system work
  • Ability to write clear and concise test reports
  • Good communication and teamwork.
