Job Description

Technical Project Lead Working for a CRO with a worldwide reach, we have a range of integrated services including drug discovery, early phase development and API manufacture. An opportunity is for a technical project lead(TPL) within early drug and formulation development.Main tasks and responsibilities: To provide technical expertise input into project drug development.

  • To lead and plan/design API solubility/compatibility experiments and write protocols,
  • Expert in defining and leading others in characterisation of formulations using techniques like DVS, DSC, PSD TGA
  • Solid state and salt selection
  • Keeping detailed and accurate records of all work undertaken and write internal and external technical reports to stakeholders
  • Lead and influence technical project design and commercial client delivery
  • To communicate progress of projects effectively to senior managers and clients
  • Develop academic/technical papers on technology or development and present at networking events
  • Actively support the setting of a new service and laboratory
    • The Candidate
  • Ideally PhD, or MSc level qualification in pharmacy, chemistry,drug development and formulation related discipline
  • Relevant work experience in drug development in analytical, formulation or project management
  • Previous experience within a pharmaceutical and drug discovery
  • Demonstrate experience and competency of delivering work with third party clients, managing commercial and technical expectations
  • Demonstrate experience of operating in multi-disciplinary project teams
