Job Description

Tradewind Derbyshire are recruiting for a secondary school teaching assistant.We are supportinga Derbyshire-based secondary school in recruiting a Teaching Assistant to assist pupils with academic catch-up. This is a full-time role with an immediate start. This role could become permanent and you may be offered a school contract,should the pupils still require support.The school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to aid pupils in KS3 and KS4, who require small group support and 1:1 support throughout the curriculum. To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of supporting pupils whorequire academic interventions; have strong language and literacy skills; be able to engage pupils and differentiate work according to academic levels.To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

  • Have experience with thes secondary curriculum
  • Have delivered academic interventions or booster sessions
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • This role will include:
  • Teaching pupils with developmental difficulties in reading and writing
  • Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
  • Supporting the school team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn
