Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join oursuccessful team, on a full time basis, with a competitive salary. At Future Health Biobank we are passionate about protecting the future health of children, which is why we concentrate our company in two main areas; stem cell banking and diagnostics.We are the largest stem cell bank in the UK, having stored more samples than all other UK banks combined and have been established for over20years. We fully believe in the value of these services, as well as their present and future possibilities. We offerthree core services for stem cell banking; umbilical cord blood, tissue and dental pulp.Key responsibilities:

  • Stock management / control
  • Using internal system for booking in stock
  • Liaison with Laboratory teams and relevant Departments
  • Co ordinating stock takes & accurate recording of stock
  • Manual movement and handling of stock items which may be heavy or awkward to lift
  • Ensure adequate levels of stock are maintained and replenished based on data
  • Working with suppliers and delivery personnel to ensure correct components arrive on time
  • Raising of deviations for investigation with relevant suppliers
Key Skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines at once
  • A flexible, safety-conscious and hands-on approach towards your day to day activities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy in particular Excel
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail
Terms & Benefits:
  • 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5pm MonFriday (30 min lunch)
  • Flexible as may need to work overtime
  • 6 months probationary period 1, 3 and 5 month reviews
