Job Description

Tripod Partners are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated Child Protection team in Nottingham City. As a Social Worker specializing in Child Protection, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of children,working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure the highest standards of care and protection.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Investigation:
    • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify and evaluate child protection concerns.
    • Investigate reports of child abuse, neglect, or maltreatment, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  2. Case Management:
    • Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring they address the unique needs of each child and family.
    • Provide ongoing case management, monitoring progress, and adapting interventions as necessary.
  3. Collaboration and Networking:
    • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including health professionals, educators, and law enforcement, to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection.
    • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with community resources to enhance support options.
  4. Crisis Intervention:
    • Respond promptly to crisis situations involving children, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
    • Collaborate with relevant agencies and professionals to address urgent situations.
  5. Legal Support and Advocacy:
    • Advocate for the rights and best interests of children within legal proceedings.
    • Collaborate with legal professionals and attend court hearings as required.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with organizational standards.
    • Prepare detailed reports for internal reviews, court hearings, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or a related field.
