Job Description

Service Delivery ManagerThe Role:We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to oversee and control the cyclical, routine and reactive maintenance works delivered by our contractors.Within the role, you will be responsible for ensuring that works are completed to specification as well as on budget and programme. You will work with other teams to ensure excellent customer service is achieved and be proactive in looking for opportunitiesto improve service delivery.You will be required to drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full clean driving license to be considered for this position and during employmentWhat Youll Be Leading On:

  • Working closely with the Maintenance and Response or relevant contractor to proactively manage their performance and ensure contractual service levels are met
  • Encouraging and developing a collaborative relationship with contractors for the benefit of the customer
  • Monitoring the performance of the assigned route to identify performance trends, risks and issues as well as developing and implementing remedial action plans
  • Managing changes to programme due to unplanned and emergency works, ensuring the risks and consequences are understood in order to communicate these with all relevant stakeholders
  • Monitoring cyclic/routine and reactive maintenance plans, ensuring delivery is integrated into other activities on the network where possible to minimise customer disruption and track associated costs
  • Responding to service delivery requests, concerns from customers and colleagues as well as feedback in a timely and customer focused manner
To Be Successful:
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a 24/7 service delivery customer focused environment
  • Good knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and working practices in highway maintenance
  • Strong planning & project delivery skills
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Experience of supply chain management with a collaborative working approach
  • Strong planning and project delivery skills
  • Recognised academic qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • CSCS Managers Certification
  • IOSH Managing Safety
  • Membership of appropriate professional body (MICE or MIHE or MCIHT) - desirable
