Job Description

Job Title: Senior Transport PlannerOffice Location: NottinghamSalary Range: £30,000 - £40,000The Nottingham based team of a national transport planning division is looking to recruit a Senior Transport Planner with a strong background in development planning.You will be working within a relatively small team, with the opportunity to lead on a range of projects from an early stage. You will also assist in the delivery of projects across other offices nationwide and work closely with other business disciplines.The team in Nottingham are currently working on projects with education, retail, commercial and residential clients and require someone with a strong background in development planning to help tackle a growing workflow.Candidate Specification:

  • A strong background in transport planning;
  • Good report writing skills - including transport assessments, statements & travel plans;
  • Experience with TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG & AutoCAD;
  • Experience with GIS, Transyt or Vissim would be beneficial;
  • Excellent communication & management skills;
  • Comfortable providing mentorship for more junior staff;
  • A track record of successfully delivering projects;
  • Good commercial awareness;
  • BSc or MSc in a relevant subject.
    • If successful, you would be joining a close-knit team who work in conjunction with over 40 transport planning professionals nationwide.
