Job Description

Temporary Senior Project AdministratorRemote working37 hours per week accross Mondays to Fridays £11,62phStart date - 27th April, duration until 31st July however there is potential for the role to become a permanent contractTHE ROLE:Do you have experience of working to develop and maintain effective relationships with key funding bodies and organisations both nationally and internationally to win funds and respond to opportunities. Previous experience is essential in the following areas

  • Experience of organising meetings, attending meetings and typing up minutes of meetings
  • Working within either the social sciences or natural sciences sector would be an advantage however not essential
  • Experience of the funding environment working with funders and links to relevant funding bodies and able to demonstrate significant funding wins in these areas
  • Experience of implementing strategies for securing contract research, business-led research funding and funding opportunities within partnerships, proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities in priority areas
  • Able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with an agreed set of funders to ensure that upcoming strategically important opportunities are identified, targeted, and evaluated
  • Able to advise and brief relevant staff on existing and anticipated external funding opportunities
  • A strong track record of supporting the writing of successful high-quality research bids for contract research and partner-led bids
  • Promote and support best practice in successful grant winning and project management
  • Having a working knowledge of Equality, Diversity within a team
  • Previous experience of working in a Higher Education/research institution, funding agency or industry
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
