Job Description

Over the last 7 years, Marlowe Fire and Security Group have grown immeasurably as a result of winning major new business across the whole of the UK whilst expanding our services and specialist disciplines through internal development andtraining.We have further grown our expert disciplines and offerings with key acquisitions of specialist businesses, such as ACL, BBC Fire & Security, FAFS Fire & Security, FSE Fire & Security, Island Fire Protection, Marlowe Kitchen Fire Suppression, Morgan Fire Protection and Hadrian Technology to name a few.We are seeking to appoint a Senior HR Advisor to work closely with all employees across the Group, providing a comprehensive, professional and customer focused HR service. This generalist role will support the delivery of the full rangeof HR activities and services to a high standard nationally. The role will require support to all Group businesses and therefore national travel will be required.In the role of Senior HR Advisor, you will act as an integral part of the HR team supporting the HR Manager in the delivery of comprehensive employee relations guidance day to day.Key to success is in the delivery of quality advice and coaching to all line managers and directors on a range of issues and topics, including engagement, ER and Wellbeing. Up to date on all policies and procedures, you are the go-to person for help acrossall the businesses.You will also support on any integration activity, liaising with the HR Projects Manager to complete key tasks on time. You will support the HR Director in the delivery of the People plan, taking ownership of key HR projects and objectives.Please note - This role will be centrally based with UK wide coverage, the position will be for Maternity leave and will be on a 12 month FTCKey Duties & Responsibilities

  • Investigate and follow-up first line HR queries and escalate appropriately. Solving any queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide generalist HR advice and guidance to line managers and employees ensuring correct procedures are being followed.
  • Provide HR support on matters relating to TUPE, Redundancy, Disciplinary, Grievance and appeal processes.
  • Ensure all related HR letters/correspondence are completed in line with current case work.
  • Advise and guide on contractual matters relating to changes to terms and conditions, ensuring all paperwork is completed and issued.
  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, support HR Manager in updating HR Policies and procedures in line with HR law updates.
  • Support in the delivery of up to date HR analytics and data management for the HR Team, inclusive of board level analysis on all HR topics.
  • Support in any integration activities, liaising with the HR Project Manager to complete key tasks.
  • Liaise with Payroll to deal with pay queries and facilitate exit processes and leavers.
  • Note taker where needed during meetings of a formal nature.
  • Supporting Management in Occupational Health requirements and liaising with external providers to ensure a smooth process. Follow up with welfare meetings to support long term sickness issues.
  • Organise and manage all aspects of family friendly policies including Maternity leave and parental rights.
  • Employee Portal/NHR and Blink support to all team members as and when required.
  • Complete general HR Administration duties if required.
  • Support the HR Department with any ad hoc duties and projects/ initiatives as and when required.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR process and procedures.
Person Specification
  • Communicate effectively with people at all levels, and have enthusiasm and passion for HR.
  • Continuing to develop your HR knowledge and exposure through reading, online training and attending workshops.
  • Ability to prioritise workload daily and work to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, ability to build strong relationships across the group at all levels
  • Exemplary problem solver, can respond quickly to changing circumstances and react effectively to those changes, know when to seek support.
  • Energy, Drive and Enthusiasm to deliver to an excellent standard
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with a flexible approach to change.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • CIPD Qualified to Level 5.
