Job Description

Job title: Senior Financial AccountantLocation: Nottingham/HybridDuration: 3 months initiallyThe role:In this role youll partner closely with a range of stakeholders including wider UK Finance, US Finance and the wider business. Youll provide oversight of key financial controls as well as independently managing processes and relationships, in additionsupporting key partners in project work. Youll have the opportunity to further your Finance experience in both US GAAP and IFRS reporting, all the while developing a range of skills in this diverse role.Responsibilities:

  • Lead for US GAAP monthly close process
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis
  • Ownership of Monthly Close meetings
  • Support with journal entries, both US GAAP and IFRS
  • Ownership of finance processes including oversight of reconciliations
  • Providing technical accounting advice
  • Partner on business wide project work
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Experience working in a Finance or Audit team
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills e.g accurate and timely reporting and commentary, spotting potential errors or adjustments
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge - ability to advise on adjustments and review results and variance explanations provided
  • Comfortable with new technology and using multiple systems
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and manage own time across multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships within team, wider department and offshore teams
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
