Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work in an Alternative Provision in Nottingham. The school caters for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental health (SEMH) issues. The provision offers young people, who have been excluded from mainstream schooling, a safe and creative environment to continue their education.As a Special School with a high proportion of vulnerable students, this school will remain open during the current lockdown.This provision is ideally looking for an English specialist who has experience teaching up to GCSE level. The learners are predominantly male, and some havent been in class for a while so there will be an element of transition and routine development required. Experience teaching NEET learners, school refusers and those who have gaps in their education would be an advantage. You will be a resilient, energetic and highly motivated teacher with a passion for supporting the progress and development of learners with SEMH.To apply for this role, you must:*hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent Teacher qualification*have recent experience teaching English up to GCSE level *have the right to work within the UK*hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one (cost of £40)In addition, it is beneficial for you to have:*experience working/supporting Children or Adults Social, Emotional, Mental Health issues including those who demonstrate challenging behaviourIf interested please APPLY NOW!
