We are currently seeking a Scientist to join our clients In Vivo Pharmacology team. Our client are specialists in demonstrating in vivo efficacy of novel therapeutics - a pivotal phase in any drug discovery programme. As a specialist in this sector, theyunderstand what it takes to design and perform robust experimental animal models that will progress compounds towards the clinic. The RoleOur clients research group is growing and looking to employ a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to join the team. The ideal candidate will have some practical laboratory experience and a willingness to learn in vivo techniques. Responsibilities: - Preparing common laboratory reagents - Performing in vitro assays - Preparing worksheets, drug information sheets and any sampling consumables on in vivo studies - Record data using laboratory information management systems - Responsible for the day to day hands-on running of in-life studies - Performing in vivo techniques - Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis To ApplyTo be successful in applying for the role of Scientist - In Vivo Pharmacology, you will have the following skills and experience: - This position requires a minimum of BSc degree in Biology or related discipline - Ability to develop novel assays from first principles and interpret complex biological datasets - Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team - Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills - Ability to execute projects to tight timelines with the ability to adapt to rapid changes in project priorities - Home Office licence modules 1-4 would be of advantage - Good lab-based skills with emphasis on ELISA
