We currently have an exciting opportunity for aScientific Officerto join ourteam in our new state-of-the-art genomics laboratory, with competitive salary and benefits.At Future Health Biobank we are passionate about protecting the future health of children. Our focus is in two main areas: stem cell banking and genomics.We are the largest stem cell bank in the UK and have been established for over 20years. We have recently invested in a newly refitted and equipped Genomics Laboratory based at the Nottingham Science & Technology Park, utilising state-of-the-art automationand next-generation sequencing. This laboratory will host our genomic screening services, serving clinics both in the UK and internationally.We now have avacancyfor aScientific Officerto join our genomics team, to take a lead in day-to-day running of the laboratory and to contribute to development of future genomics services. Hours of work will be 37.5hrs which may include weekend and eveningwork, service depending.The scientific officer will primarily help to run the non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) service, performing sample processing, library preparation and sequencing.
