Sales Manager - IT Managed Services Provider Nottingham - £50,000 + £10k Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits My client is an Award-winning Managed Service Provider, helping clients achieve success and transformation through their IT and communications. The Sales Manager is responsible for management and performance of the sales function and a team of 8, being owner of the sales lifecycle, which includes: - qualifying new prospect sales opportunities, managing existing opportunities providing accurate forecasts, setting activity targets, mentoring and training team members and proposing and closing sales in line with the business plan. Fundamental to this role is the support of Account Managers in building and maintaining professional lasting relationships, whilst maximising client satisfaction, retention and increased Share of Wallet. Role: · To lead, build, develop and motivate the sales team to hit goals and targets in alignment with the overall business plan · Develop in-depth knowledge of the typical customer needs and be able to match these to the products, service and solutions which the company supplies · Regularly review the sales funnel to ensure the sales pipelines remains full of qualified leads which when converted, will deliver the required sales order intake to deliver the targets set · To attract new business relationships converting these into customers and maintain existing through sales and marketing activities and events · Work closely with the Marketing Team to construct sales and marketing campaigns in order to create new business opportunities · Ensure consistency of systems through creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for the sales process · To maximise customer penetration rates through the utilisation of whitespace for standardised services to ensure they meet company defined objectives · Establish and maintain a sales meeting rhythm to ensure that the teams activities are accurate and recorded in real-time · Establish and manage the commission scheme for the sales team · Analyse and report on sales data to the Senior Leadership Team, including individual performance, activities, opportunities, statistics, quotas, pipeline, weightings, commits, forecast, referrals and commissions · To build and maintain excellent relationships with all colleagues and provide all staff the target to aspire to be · Conduct performance reviews, coaching and mentoring of those with less experience · To undertake ad hoc projects as directed in order to contribute effectively to continuous improvement of the business · To be a member of the Management Team and actively promote our culture, vision and values to ensure staff satisfaction and client retention · To comply with the companys Information Security Management System (ISMS) and all relevant policies to ensure that information security is maintained Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: Essential: · Extensive experience in creating and managing all aspect of the sales lifecycle · Strong understanding of customer sales dynamics and requirements of the SME market · Demonstrated level of success having previously worked in a similar role Experience in selling IT Solutions and Managed Services including: Support and Professional Services Hardware and Software Solutions based upon Microsoft Technologies Communications including Connectivity, Telephony and VoIP Cyber Security Services and Solutions Backup and Recovery Solutions Cloud technologies including Azure and AWS · Relevant industry and role-based qualifications · Experience of leading, managing and mentoring staff · Experience in staff performance management · Experience in working alongside marketing to delivery innovative and dynamic sales initiatives · Flexibility out of hours to drive sales through attendance at relevant networking forums and events · Current and valid UK driving license Desirable: · Previously worked in a similar role in an MSP · Previous experience of ConnectWise Manage and Sell Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Essential: · High energy and drive to succeed. · Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. · Strive to exceed targets and objectives set by the Senior Leadership Team. · Strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skills. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Excellent presentation skills. · Delegation skills. · Ability to innovate. · Ability to work effectively independently and as a team player. · Excellent writing skills. · Ability to multi-task. · Willingness to learn. · Ability to prioritise and to manage time effectively Next Steps....
