Full-time (37 hours) & Term-Time Only (41 weeks)The Bulwell Academy is an 11-18 academy serving families in and around the Bulwell area of Nottingham. This is made possible through our knowledge richcurriculum offer, our CET Knowledge Connected Programme, our clear and concise Behaviour for Learning Policy, and our Attitude to Learning Rewards Programme.We are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer to work as part of our busy safeguarding team, supporting the effective operation of the Academys safeguarding service on a day-to- day basis. The post holder will act as a first point of contact for anysafeguarding and child protection concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice in order to safeguard students, making external referrals to a range of agencies, as and when appropriate. They will be responsible for promoting safeguarding to studentsand staff within the Academy, including providing high quality safeguarding related training, to ensure our Academy meets all statutory safeguarding requirements.Applications are encouraged from candidates with previous experience of working with children and families and dealing with complex safeguarding and child protection issues. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant safeguardingand child protection policies, procedures and legislation and be able to apply these effectively in practice and disseminate to others.
