Job PurposeAs Release Engineer, you will support daily operations within our Medical Imaging applications team. You will support the operations team with application problems and escalate to the appropriate group for resolution if Data Change Requests will not resolvethe issue. You will also implement and install various qualifications to ensure successful deployment of Medical Imaging applications within the testing and production environments.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with some experience within an application support environment along with some experience of relational databases, particularly SQL.Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Data Change Requests.
  • Support the operations team with application problems and escalate to the appropriate group for resolution if Data Change Requests (DCR) will not resolve the issue as necessary.
  • Analyse incoming Data Change Requests (DCRs) for Tracking and Analysis applications.
  • Implement Installation Qualifications for deployment of Medical Imaging applications within the testing and production environments.
  • Perform database backups and data dump as requested.
  • Support the PSG validation group with the export deployments in Control Testing and Production environments.
  • Perform code reviews of Data Change Request scripts prepared by other Imaging Support Specialists.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience with deploying and/or supporting applications on Windows and Linux environments.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts.
  • 2-4 years of SQL exposure within Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server (Oracle preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be very organized with good multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Experience working within a formal SDLC is helpful but not essential.
  • Previous customer support experience would be helpful but not essential.
