TitleHR Business Partner, Optima LegalReports toOperations Director, (will include HR Business Partnering & Organisational Development at PEXA Group once successful transition has been achieved)Key Relationships>MD Optima>Senior Leaders Optima>Capita HR>Optima people>External HR suppliers/providersDirect Reports >HR AdministratorA day in the life/ Role SummaryThe HR Business Partner will be a visible leader in the Optima business accountable for the delivery of Human Resources services.(Critical to this role will be the successful transition of people to the PEXA Group and supporting a new people services modelfor Optima as a subsidiary of the PEXA Group).Key Accountabilities>Design, own and deliver the People Plans>Deliver HR services, providing positive challenge to leadership teams on all people matters>Identify and drive organisational design and change initiatives, ensuring effective delivery>Promote the businesses values and behaviours, increase diversity of thought and lead engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion activities>Provide a focus on learning, resource plans, skills development, succession and engagement>Provide HR guidance and interpretation to leaders>Identify and lead on all resourcing activities, includingmedium-long term resourcing requirements.>Lead the annual reward activities with the specialism and work on nationwide attraction, security checking protocols and retention approaches>Provide HR guidance on the payroll processing activities ensuring records are correctly maintained and facilitating the resolution of any questions about wages, deductions and other pay related issues>Facilitate talent and succession reviews, align mentoring approaches and drive apprenticeships and other socially responsible employment schemes>Lead people requirements in divestment activity, deliver HR calendar events, hold relationships iand facilitate local comms channels>Commercial decisions for ET/EC cases for the business area, advising business on approach to defend, settle etc.>Deliver timely, accurate and relevant HR reporting.>Effectively and efficiently identify and manage the risks, controls and dependencies within our people processes in consultation with Governance, Risk and Compliance SMEs when appropriate>Key point of contact for HR audit requirementsSkills and Experience >HR degree qualification or equivalent tenure essential>Excellent knowledge of developments and expertise in HR space including technology>Extensive experience of operating in a business partner model and an advocate for working collaboratively across the HR community to strengthen reputation and relationships>Experience in medium sized company with exposure to global business>Exceptional stakeholder manager>Strong negotiation skills>Empathetic people leader>Excellent communication verbal and written>Solutions oriented problem solverKey Attributes>Ready and able to take initiative, originate action and be accountable for decisions>Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with ability to influence and build trust>Resilient and able to prioritise, problem solve and manage multiple complex programmes>Ability to coach and advise leadership to empower employees and build high-performing teams>Strong people management and relationship building skills to influence key stakeholders and leadership
