Job Description

Job title : Quality InspectorSalary : £32000 plus overtimeLocation : NottinghamHours of work : 3 shift pattern rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm,10pm-6amThe RoleOur client is looking to employ a skilled 1st of inspector in Nottingham . You will be responsible for the receiving, in process, final and 1st off inspection of all products.Ensuring customer and company quality standards are met to the highest standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector will play an integral part to the team.The work will require interpreting specifications, sketches / drawings / models or similar documents.Perform first off, in-process and final inspection on high precise aerospace parts, working tolerance within 0.005mmDuties

  • Apply geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) on manufactured parts
  • Prepare First Article Inspection Report as required
  • Use standard hand-measuring instruments (i.e. micrometer, bore gauge, calipers, height gauge, etc.)
  • Verify parts by carrying out dimensional, functional and visual inspections
  • Work on CMM machine/ programming with PC-DMIS software
  • Working within a engineering / quality team
  • Liaising with CNC machinists
  • Preparing non-conformance reports
  • Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Knowledge of CMM programming with PC-DMIS and ability to interpret CMM Reports
  • Strong blueprint / drawing interpretation and reading skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision and be a good team player
  • Practical knowledge of ISO and AS Standards
  • Familiarity with Non-Conformance Reports along with the ability to devise and plan Corrective Actions a definite asset
  • Held a similar position previously for a minimum of 2 years
