Job Description

A world class, global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to work at their modern manufacturing site in South Nottingham.As a Quality Engineer you will join a small quality team to work alongside other departments to ensure compliance of the manufactured products and company quality systems in line with customer requirements and other regulatory measures.Details:

Key responsibilities of Quality Engineer:
  • Work with internal departments to ensure standards and procedures are being followed
  • Resolve any internal and external customer quality concerns through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Lead customer facing communication on quality discussions (presentations, meetings etc)
  • Use data analysis tools with your Lean / Six Sigma skills to identify process improvements, scrap reductions, productivity increases, and production space optimisation
  • Review technical documents from suppliers, customers, and industry and integrate appropriate requirements into company processes and documentation
  • Support QMS by auditing processes to ensure processes and documentation are in line
  • Support customer / 3rd party audits
  • Support manufacturing team with implementation of new equipment and automation to ensure quality standards are maintained improved
Quality Engineer skills required:
  • Ideally 5+ years of previous QE experience
  • Degree in Engineering would be highly advantageous for future progression
  • Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Six Sigma trained / certified (Yellow or Green Belt) preferred
  • Experience of statistical software
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Quality Certifications
  • CI / Lean methodology experience
  • Ideally have ISO 9001 experience and experience of AS 9100 auditing would be very advantageous
