Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunityfor a Quality Assurance Administratorto join oursuccessful team in ourbusy Laboratory, on a 12-month fixed term basis, working full time with earnings of £20,350At Future Health Biobank we are passionate about protecting the future health of children. We are the largest stem cell bank in the UK, having stored more samples than all other UK banks combined and have been established for over 20years. We fully believein the value of these services, as well as their present and future possibilities. We offer three core services for stem cell banking: umbilical cord blood, cord tissue and dental pulp.Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Administrator ensures that our samples are processed and stored to the highest standards, in adherence with standard operating procedures, regulatory standards for processing, testing, storageand disposal of human tissue.Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality review of processing/monitoring QC Forms ensuring the accuracy, validity and traceability of sample data and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
  • Document preparation and approval of sample release for storage;
  • Raising of deviations for investigation by the Quality Assurance Manager;
Key Skills:
  • A good understanding of the application of the principles of Quality Assurance such as ISO 9001;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good computer literacy;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Attention to detail;
Terms & Benefits:
  • 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday;
  • Salary of £20,350 per annum;
  • 25 days holiday pro rata (excluding bank holidays);
  • Contributory Company Pension Scheme;
  • Our Nottingham facility is easily accessible by public transport and free on-site parking;
