Job Description

We are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Test Analyst to join a national professional firm based in Nottingham, with flexible home working.They will be joining the established Quality Assurance team; this person will be responsible for developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organisation.This individual will also gather and analyse data in support of business cases, proposed projects and systems requirements, Including writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems and operational systems.The QA Analyst will be working in these three main areas of the business,

  • Strategy & planning - Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new application.
  • Acquisition and Deployment - Liaise with vendors and suppliers in assessing applications and/or systems under consideration for purchase.
  • Operational Management- Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.
    • They will work on challenging projects, this individual will be involved throughout the project life cycle, having an input into test planning and strategy while taking on responsibility for effective test Scripting, execution, and reporting - often leading on projects and workstreams from a test perspective.Key Attributes:
  • Solid experience in carrying out testing throughout a project life cycle.
  • Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools and reporting software
  • PMS (Aderant) exposure would be desirable
  • Demonstrable experience working in an Agile environment, (SCRUM in particular)
  • Outstanding communication and customer-facing skills
  • Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Office, Windows.
  • Ability to support the implementation of robust test processes and an eye for improvement in QA practices.
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
  • Extensive practical knowledge of ALM tools and their use for organisation
  • Experience in a corporate/professional services environment would be beneficial for this role.
