Job Description

Job Reference: J-0259Job Title: Property AccountsJob Location: NottinghamSalary: £35,000- £40,000 DOEHybrid: 2-3 days in office, 2 days remoteOur client, a well-established, family-owned property development and investment business is looking for a professional individual to join their accounts team. They specialise in many sectors such as residential, student accommodation, industrial, office,leisure and retail. The attention to detail of their dedicated team of experts -from research, acquisition, finance, design, construction and management has led the business to an enviable reputation for performance.This role is covering multiple sides of the business including construction, management, property and lettings. You will need to be, methodical, and organised with the ability to work under pressure and have attention to detail.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statements
  • Prepare and file VAT tax reports and returns
  • Produce and co-ordinate cash flows for the various elements of the business- Construction, Lettings, Management and the development company
  • Maintain all financial records including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and manage billings
  • Maintain and track all costs related to construction projects
  • Review contractors bills for accuracy and completeness, and approve payment requests
  • Process invoices, requisitions, and purchase orders
  • Review, approve, and process payroll, expense reports, and timecards
  • Research and resolve invoice and billing disputes with contractors
  • Audit all accounts against contractual terms, budgets, and time schedules
  • Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor bills
  • Manage leases within the company
  • CIS- Verify new subcontractors and inform them of the correct tax deduction rate, Send a reminder every month when it is time to file their CIS return, Check all CIS tax deductions including qualifying materials, and Complete payment and deduction statementsto provide to subcontractors.
Have you got what it takes
  • AAT Level 2 qualified (preferred)
  • Background in construction, property and lettings (preferred)
  • Experience using Sage software
