Mapping CoordinatorPosition: Full Time Contract - 37.5 hours per weekSalary £21000 - £23000Location: Working from home - with travel requiredMy client are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person with a keen interest in walking and cycling in the great outdoors and a passion for health. This role sits within my clients Beat the Street project team. Beat the Street is a community engagementgame which has engaged over one million participants in towns and cities across the UK and Europe. Beat the Street gets people of all ages more active and connected to the place that they live and their local community.The Beat the Street game is based around gamification, using RFID technology (Beat Boxes) placed in strategic and engaging locations where people are inspired to walk, cycle, run or scoot to. The mapping of Beat Boxes is a hugely important part of the processleading to a fun and successful game and therefore this role is critical to the success of each Beat the Street project.The mapping role sits within our Operations Team but will work closely with all departments. You will be a key member of the team committed to delivering long-term positive behaviour change to health and activity levels across the UK and beyond.Role SummaryAs Mapping Coordinator, you will work with our Mapping Lead to ensure that our Beat Boxes are located in the most interesting, practical and safe locations possible, to enable players to have a fantastic experience as they play the game and increase theirphysical activity levels. You will set up steering groups with clients, walk leaders, park rangers and other local people who could provide insight on where the boxes are best placed. You will therefore be someone who enjoys meeting and engaging with peoplefrom across the community. When your planning has been done, you will finalise the locations on an online map and carry out ground risk assessments before working with local authority highways teams to achieve permissions and sign off.During the ground risk assessments and planning, you will need to spend time in the playable town or city therefore working away for short periods will be required. Foreign travel may also be required.Mapping takes place at certain stages of the game and therefore when there are minimal mapping tasks needed, you will be required to support other teams with tasks such as responding to player queries by email and telephone, supporting Beat Box maintenance,making calls to increase engagement, supporting sales team with mapping and anything else required by the business.Duties to include
