Project ManagerNottingham Our client is an IT Solutions business providing innovative and comprehensive technical inventory service to the leading OEMs and field service providers. They maintain and manage spare parts inventories, and deliver complementing technical services across32 countries and to over 5,000 locations throughout Europe.Their services have been specifically designed to equip customers with control over inventory expenditure, optimised spare part availability and enhanced service performance.They continues to evolve and provide a wide array of complimentary Technical Services including Remote Support, Onsite Engineering, Training and Professional Services.As Project Manager, you will be responsible for day to day progress of all projects and transition projects working with the project owner. This key role within the business will work closely with senior and junior stakeholders alike and will interact withall departments to ensure projects and transition activities stay on track, meet business objectives and exceed customer expectations.You will engage internally & externally to both identify and ensure all the correct processes, procedures, systems and people are in place for any type of new project take-on.You will also be responsible for various weekly and monthly reporting both internally and to customers, along with supporting the Project Co-ordinator.Key Responsibilities:• Utilise existing PMO documentation and reporting templates inc: Highlight Reports, Action, Risk & Issue Logs, Milestone Reports and Project Financials, etc. The successful candidate will be encouraged to improve these templates, in line with Company strategyand operating model, as required.• Manage internal and external customer projects when required.• Comprehensive and detailed project reporting and reporting to Senior Leadership Team.• Manage, compile and deliver project related financial and KPI information.• Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed. Identify, share and discuss recommendations and remedial actions as required to help maintain budgets.• Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across projects.• Ensure that the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register are maintained and updated.• Ensure cross-project dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained • Coordinate project closure to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged• Prepare regular status reporting to all relevant levels of the business• Work closely with the Customer Support Team and other relevant departments to inform them of new projects and potential impacts on their teams.• Work with project teams to identify and implement project remedial steps and actions, at all times, ensuring that projects remain on track and within budget constraints.• Work closely with the Partner Manager and Partner providers to ensure project quality and customer satisfaction achieve appropriate levelsThe ideal candidate:• Experience of managing the complete lifecycle of a project, with an emphasis on inventory, with project teams of 2 to 15 people.• In possession of, or working towards an AGILE or PRINCE2 (or equivalent) qualification.• Knowledge of ITIL principles. Ability to implement ITIL principles.• Experience of transitioning new customer contracts into live service operations.• Strong organisational skills in creating and maintaining project plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.• Highly efficient and organised in resource planning and tasks assignment.• Knowledge of risk management and resource planning.• Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project.• Experience of project level financial management and a good knowledge of transitioning inventory as required.• Knowledgeable and experienced in efficient Change Management methods.Please do get in touch to hear more……
