Job Description

Job Role: Project ManagerLocation: NottinghamSalary:£38,000 - £40,000 per annumType: Perm and Full timeOverview of the Project Manager 2fawcett are recruiting for Project Manager based in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company that truly values the employees. They reward hard workers and offer great progression routes within the company.To project manage orders (UK and International) that require involvement by the Contracts team, including supply only, and installation projects by either the Contracts team or by Sub-Contractor. The Project Manager, should have good communication and peopleskills to perform well for the relationship manager part of the role, and should have good technical understanding of products & client industries, to allow them to follow the full journey of each individual and multiple projects, large and small.Responsibilities of the Project Manager

  • Project Implementation - responsible for receiving the overall objectives and directions or collating where required, interpreting them, reacting to changes in them, and clarifying any problems which arise for project implementation. Including;
  • Confirming the requirements of the project and/or equipment by attending and/or arranging handover meetings with Sales & Design.
  • Attending site meeting, site surveys worldwide as required and appropriate to each specific project, as well as progress review and site spot checks to fulfil internal processes and verification documentation.
  • Being aware and understanding the intricacies of a specific contract, in regards to retentions, warranty, delay penalties (LADs), and any other constraints and contractual obligations.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the company Health & Safety Policy, and undertake any other duties or special projects as may be regarded as within the responsibility of the post or your capabilities.
  • Resources & Planning - Identify the resources needed for the project, negotiate internally and externally, and manage the effective use of resources of the project. Including;
  • Working closely with the rest of the Contracts/Projects team to "see the whole picture" and overall business strategy, and attend regular internal meetings to review and agree allocation of staff with the rest of the team.
  • Takes responsibility for the planning and monitoring of overall progress and the use of resources, including corrective actions where required.
  • Public Relations and diplomacy, to build and manage long-term relationships with the end users, clients, site managers, distributors and sub-contractors.
  • Compliance, Finance, Reporting and Administration - to oversee and review the procurement of external goods, production of the required deliverables, and supporting aspects of project administration to meet the appropriate time constraints and deadlines.Including;
  • Ensure that Design and Manufacturing have accurate information for the required products by regularly checking with the appropriate departments to have knowledge and understanding of the current status and required timelines.
  • Ensure that the products meet specified quality standards - for example, ensuring that Factory Acceptance Tests, Installation sign off, commissioning documents have been completed for the project.
  • Personal Project Administration, including the preparation of;
  • Accurate and appropriate RAMs,
  • Purchase Requisitions and Procurement of all required elements to fulfil the project and logistics. (Coordinate with other departments where required to prevent duplicate ordering).
  • Input & update the correct information for progress reporting and scheduling (Trello),
  • Collate and prepare all associated documentation needed for the O&M Manuals, including data sheets, forementioned QA docs, requesting for As Built drawings etc.
  • Prepare project Gantt charts where required to facilitate the management of the project.
  • Monitor and issue stage claims and retention claim payments.
  • Obtain practical completion certificates where required.
  • To liaise with internal departments, line manager and stakeholders to assure the overall direction and viability of the project are maintained.
  • Identifying and highlighting any risks to the project and the business, reporting to Head of Contracts and Design, where required.
Working benefits with the Project Manager
  • Once passed probation period and training a company car package will be added.
  • Company computer/laptop, credit card and mobile phone will also be provided.
  • 20 days holidays (+ bank holidays), (-3 deducted for Christmas mandatory shutdown). +1 day holiday per 1 year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days total entitlement.
  • Death in Service benefit (4x annual salary to next of kin).
  • Potential for company-wide bonus if achieving or improving the yearly budget. (previous years have ranged between 2-4% of annual salary).
  • Ideally from a construction site awareness background, so from a supporting trade, as this should offer experience and knowledge that can be carried across as we work on projects for new-builds, renovations, and construction building sites as well as fittingequipment into working and operational healthcare facilities.
