Job Description

We are currently supporting an FMCG business on an exclusive basis, they are looking for a highly driven and motivated Production Manager to join their team in Nottingham. The role will work on a Monday to Friday basis, typically 8am to 4.30pm but due tothe seasonal nature of the basis flexibility is required.Client DetailsQuality is hugely important to the company, they strive to deliver perfection on every occasion.   • Conducting daily briefing meetings, discussing production schedule and all details for the day.
  • Reporting daily KPIs within the production team on a weekly basis to your manager Supervising permanent & temporary members of staff.
  • Meeting production schedules, ensure that products are packaged and dispatched in a timely manner
  • Provide training and mentoring of new and existing personnel. Identifying training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Management of timekeeping, absence management and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensuring all products meet quality standards before dispatch.
  • Reporting any quality issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining H&S, quality records and training manuals.
  • Identify, facilitate, and sustain process improvement projects as part of the LEAN Operations Excellence Team.
  • Peak season planning of staff, ensuring that adequate cover is in place at all times, offering extra support during peak periods.
  • Ensure the company has enough first aid cover and first aid boxes are kept topped up.
  • Ensure risk assessments and SOPs are correct and reviews are completed in a timely fashion.
  • In the absence of the Operations Manager - be an on-call key holder
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies are adhered to.
Profile
  • Experienced Managers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Highly driven, with exceptional leadership and team building skills.
  • Commercially astute/with good business understanding.
  • Professional, punctual and timely.
  • IT literate experience including Microsoft applications and the internet.
